In the spirit of the festive season, Connect Family Outreach, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the less privileged, hosted its annual December outreach at Alagbado, Lagos.

The event, held on Saturday, brought smiles to the faces of hundreds as food items and other essentials were distributed to widows, single mothers, orphans, and struggling families.

Speaking to Chronicle NG, Bukola Bisuga Olieh, founder of Connect Family Outreach, emphasized the organization’s commitment to alleviating hardship and bringing joy to people regardless of their background.

“We started Connect Family in 2016 with a dream to support widows, single mothers, and orphans. Every year, we reach out to orphanages and communities to ensure that someone, somewhere, does not give up because of their present situation,” Olieh shared.

The founder acknowledged the economic challenges affecting many Nigerians, stating, “We know many families are struggling. This outreach is our way of ensuring they don’t feel abandoned during this season of celebration. The tokens we share may seem small, but they go a long way in augmenting their livelihood. None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors and donors.”

The event witnessed a large turnout, with people of all faiths and tribes coming together to receive the organization’s goodwill. Volunteers distributed food items and shared words of encouragement, fostering a sense of unity and hope.

“Our mantra is simple: ‘Your donation makes it happen.’ This initiative is not about discrimination—it’s about humanity. We are all one family,” Olieh added.

Since its inception, Connect Family Outreach has visited orphanages and communities yearly, reinforcing its mission to uplift the underprivileged. The 2024 outreach marks another successful effort by the group to make a tangible difference in people’s lives during the holiday season.

For Connect Family, the goal remains clear: to continue putting smiles on faces and restoring hope to those who need it most.
