Stefano Pioli, manager of Serie A giant AC Milan, has praised Samuel Chukwueze, whom he described as a complete winger, and hinted that he is excited to work with the Nigerian.

On Thursday, the seven-time European champions announced the signing of the winger from LaLiga club Villarreal on a five-year contract.

To secure the player’s services, Rossoneri paid Villarreal €20 plus €8 million in add-ons.

Chukwueze comes to Milan with a big reputation, having won the Best African Player award in LaLiga the previous season.

Pioli claimed the 24-year-old has all the attributes he is looking for in a new winger.

“We had talked to each other a couple of times; we were looking for a player with these characteristics. He’s fast, technical, strong in one-on-one, and he attacks deep. He seems like a complete winger to me, but until I train with him, I can’t tell,” he said.
