    Christmas: SDP candidate, Ahmed Wadada donates food items to Christians

    The Social Democratic Party Senatorial candidate for Nasarawa West district, Alhaji Ahmed Wadada, on Friday donated assorted food items to some Christian families, widows, orphans and other vulnerable groups in the area.

    Wadada, while presenting the food items to some of the beneficiaries, in Keffi Local Government Area said that the gesture was borne out of the desire to assist the less privileged in the society during the festive season.

    The SDP chieftain also said that the gift was meant to deepen interfaith and religious understanding as well as harmony in the district.

    Wadada, who is the Sarkin Yakin Keffi, added that Christmas was a time to show love to one another,” because it is an act of kindness to humanity.

    ” As we celebrate, let us remember to share our joy with the poor and less privileged. I wish you all happy Christmas and a prosperous new year,” he said.

    The former two-term member of the House of Representatives, therefore, advised wealthy individuals to always assist the less privilege in the society at all times.

    Wadada used the occasion to call on the electorate who are yet to collect their Permanent Voters Card to endeavour to do so to enable them discharge their civic duty in the 2023 general elections.

    He also enjoined the youths, especially his teeming supporters in Nasarawa West to shun provocative utterances and any actions that was capable of disrupting peace before and after the elections.

    Wadada reiterated his commitment to ensure quality representation for the people of the district, if elected.

    Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Luka Amos of Sabon Gari Ward thanked Wadada for his usual support to the Christians, widows and the less privileged in the state.
