Premier League side Chelsea, on Saturday, clinched a hard-fought 1-0 win against Everton in a Premier League match at Stamford Bridge, with Nicolas Jackson proving to be the difference-maker.

Jackson scored the game’s only goal in the 27th minute, assisted by Enzo Fernández.

The match, which ended with Chelsea retaining their lead throughout the second half, saw the home team dominate possession and generate multiple chances, but they only managed to score once.

Chelsea’s victory helped them strengthen their position in the Premier League standings, where they now sit fourth with 60 points from 34 matches, including 17 wins, 9 ties, and 8 losses.

Their goal differential is 19, with 59 goals scored and 40 surrendered.

Despite their best attempts, Everton were unable to produce an equaliser, and they continue farther down the table, trying to climb the ranks.

The Toffees have had a difficult season, and this loss adds to their problems as they prepare for their remaining games.

Meanwhile, Liverpool leads the Premier League table with 79 points from 33 matches, closely followed by Arsenal with 67 points from 34 games.

Manchester City leads Chelsea by one point and is third with 61 points after 34 games.

Nottingham Forest rounds out the top five with 60 points, tied with Chelsea but trailing on goal difference.
