Nigerian stars 2Baba, Falz, and Oxlade have voiced outrage over the recent mass killings in Benue State, condemning the government’s silence and the lack of media coverage.

Benue State, in Nigeria’s north-central region, is reeling from a wave of deadly attacks that have claimed over 200 lives in just days, sparking nationwide grief and anger.

On June 14, suspected herdsmen launched brutal assaults on the Yelewata and Daudu communities in Guma Local Government Area, killing more than 100 people. By Sunday, the death toll had reportedly doubled, as the violence spiralled with minimal intervention from authorities.

The scale of the killings and the apparent national silence have prompted outrage from several Nigerian celebrities. Music legend 2Baba, who hails from Benue, called for immediate government action, slamming the inaction over the continuing bloodshed.

Rapper and activist Falz expressed disbelief over the lack of attention: “Over 200 senselessly slain and burnt alive in Benue, and this is not even getting close to enough attention. Why are we so wicked to ourselves?”

Popular content creator Crazeclown added his voice, describing the tragedy as a “bloody massacre.”

“Benue bleeds. Whole families wiped out and thrown into mourning. How many more must die before we name this what it is? This is not about politics or tribe, this is life and death. Enough is enough.”

Singer Oxlade also spoke out, calling the situation a national emergency: “The killings in Benue cannot keep being met with silence. These are lives lost, families broken, and futures stolen. Nigeria, how many more?”

Their collective outcry reflects growing frustration among citizens over repeated violence in Benue, and the perceived indifference of both the government and media.
