The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) stated that 76 feeders in Jos and its surrounding areas have been devoted to the Band A plan.

In a statement issued on Thursday in Jos, JEDC’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Elijah Adakole, stated that this was done to improve efficiency and effectiveness in energy distribution to customers.

Adakole stated that the corporation had formed a seven-member team for each feeder to ensure that customers received uninterrupted power supply in accordance with the Band A schedule of electricity supply.

Customers, according to him, are required to reciprocate this privilege by paying their energy bills on time and in full.

The JEDC representative also stated that the business would launch the much anticipated Feeders Management System and Bilateral Arrangements on November 1.

He explained that under the new structure, users would receive a quality and consistent supply of electricity in accordance with their bands.

He stated that these and other initiatives were among the sturdy processes put in place by JEDC management to achieve optimal client satisfaction.

“There will be nothing like partial payment for consumed energy going forward; all monthly bills must be settled in full.

“To this effect, the feeder management staff have been adequately equipped to ensure that only customers who do not default in paying for their consumed energy would be the only ones to enjoy a steady electricity supply.

”Customers are therefore advised to embrace the new scheme aimed at serving them better,” Adekole said.
