The Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA), Anthony Elumelu, popularly known as Tony Elumelu, has said he has surrounds himself with people who have talent.
Elumelu said as a leader it is important to support yourself with those who are talented.
He added that those who are intelligent enough to contribute to the “collective growth”.
“I surround myself with people who have talent. You must recognise your limitations, but make sure you are intelligent enough to support yourself with those who have talent, those who are intelligent enough to contribute to our collective growth,” Elumelu said.
The chairman of Transcorp Hotels advised his followers on X (formerly Twitter) to surround themselves with people who are more intelligent in areas they are lacking.
On July 4, Chronicle NG reported that President Tinubu appointed Elumelu as a member of the Presidential Economic Coordination Council.
Elumelu said efforts by the federal government to reduce hardship in the economy were commendable. Also, he stated that addressing food security would aid in the country’s economic growth.
Speaking at the meeting, he expressed enthusiasm for the future and the importance of agriculture in driving economic change.
“It’s good for Nigeria to be talking about food security because it’s time we put more food on the table and at affordable prices,” he said.
