The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has warned vehicle owners to desist from covering their number plates.
Bauchi State Sector Command Special Marshall of FRSC revealed this during their monthly meeting on Saturday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Deputy State Coordinator of the Special Marshall, Godwin Obioha, commended the members for their cooperation and urged them to sustain their efforts, adding that it is a selfless service for the good of society.
This is as he expressed dismay at how some car owners, particularly political office holders and their aides, violate traffic rules as if they are above the law.
He decided to enforce the country’s relevant traffic regulations against all defaulters in partnership with the regular marshal.
“The people indulging in such acts of disobedience to traffic regulation are therefore urged to stop or will be made to face the full wrath of the law when apprehended,” he warned.
He also warned that from now on, the group’s focus will be on covered number plates during the weekly patrol and called on motorists to cooperate.
