President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria following a working visit to the United States and a stopover in London for two days.
US President Donald Trump had invited his counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari for talks on 30 April in Washington.
During the visit Trump said the US values Nigeria’s role as a strong democratic leader in West Africa.
Trump says the US is having conversations with Nigeria about removing trade barriers. He said the US will invest “substantially” in Nigeria if Buhari can create a level playing field.

Trump also noted that Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has taken steps to fight government corruption and improve the trade climate.
He commented at a joint White House news conference with Buhari after they met Monday at the White House.
Buhari said the US and Nigerian delegations discussed security, trade, government and human rights, among other topics.
On his stopover in London, his spokesman President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu he stopped over in London for technical reasons.
He explained that, “The big jet is under repair. It has been taken for major repairs. So the president is using a small plane and there is a limit to the distance the small plane can cover,” he said in response to inquiries on Thursday.
Mr Shehu also said the “technical stopover I talked about is that the journey from US to Abuja is broken into two.
