President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja for Dubai, where he is expected to attend the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Expo 2020.

The goal of Expo 2020 Dubai is to create an environment in which Nigerians can join over 190 other countries to form genuine and meaningful partnerships.

According to a statement issued by the president’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, the expo will provide an opportunity for the Nigerian delegation to highlight significant economic strides made in the last six years as a foundation for making the country an essential destination for foreign direct investment.

In addition to touring the Nigerian pavilion at the expo on Friday, Nigeria’s national day, the president will meet with his highness, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai.
