A group of armed bandits attacked the Gora community in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State on Tuesday night, killing a young man and kidnapping his grandfather.
The deceased, identified as Bashir Auwalu, was reportedly shot dead during the violent raid, while his elderly grandfather was whisked away by the assailants.
A security analyst, known as Bakatsine, disclosed the incident on Wednesday through a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“Yesterday night, bandits stormed Gora in Safana LGA, Katsina State. They killed a youthful person identified as Bashir Auwalu and kidnapped his grandfather,” the post read.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
