A group of heavily armed men have abducted the district head of Adbka community in Zamfara state.
The bandits reportedly invaded the community around 12pm and operated for four hours without interruption before abducting the district head Alhaji Nafiu Shehu.
A member of the community who pleaded anonymity said that no one was killed during the incident.
According to the source, the mobile police unit that was stationed in the community was relocated out of the community last week which gave the bandits opportunity to attack the area.
Adabka is about 165 kilometers from the state capital, Gusau.
The Zamfara state police command was yet to confirm the incident at the time of filing this report.
