Opesusi Faith Timilehin a 19-year-old girl, tragically committed suicide on Monday after apparently getting 190 in the recently conducted Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) administered by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Timilehin, originally from Abeokuta, Ogun State, was living with her older sister in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State, at the time of the incident. The Rivers State Government has closed down a health facility in the state over unprofessional practices. The state’s Anti-Quackery Committee, directed by Dr Vincent Wachukwu, sealed the clinic on Monday in response to media allegations of Mrs Victoria Paris’s death following a caesarean section in the institution reportedly performed by unlicensed health staff. The manager of Century Home Hotel in Owehlogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area, Delta State, has admitted to the murder of Onoriode Bethel, a 22-year-old Point-of-Sale operator who was reported missing in December 2024.
