Bayero University Kano, BUK, has launched a manhunt for the suspected phone thieves who stabbed and killed a 300-level student of the institution, identified as Umar Abdullahi Hafiz. The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has approved sanctions against dozens of officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in a sweeping disciplinary action aimed at reinforcing professionalism and accountability.
