Pastor Emmanuel Gbaruko of Dominion City has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The church is located in the World Bank area of Owerri, Imo State. A warder attached to the Kirikiri Custodial Centre in Lagos State, Kayode Fatombi, has been arrested by the police for allegedly aiding the escape of some prison inmates.

A 28-year-old Arabic teacher, Mohammed Algoni, has been arrested and to be remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly sodomising his 11-year-old pupil in the Ifako area of Lagos state.
