Following the Federal Government’s and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN’s) failure to comply with the Supreme Court’s March 3rd judgment on the extension of the validity of the old naira notes, ten states are preparing for a new legal battle. The failure to implement the court order has heightened anger and frustration across the country, as Nigerians wait in vain for the government to give the go-ahead for the reintroduction of the old N500 and N1000 notes. At the time of publication, merchants, gas stations, and transportation companies continued to refuse to accept the notes, despite the fact that…

Meta’s app will be built on the same framework as Mastodon, a Twitter-like service that debuted in 2016. A Twitter-like app would allow Zuckerberg to capitalize on the current state of chaos…
The Labour Party slammed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday, claiming that the electoral body came up with the idea of reconfiguring the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System machines on purpose after its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, sought to examine the election materials. This came after the party questioned the commission’s claim that the data retrieved from the BVAS was supported by independent witnesses and political party representatives. The protest comes just 24 hours after INEC rescheduled the March 11 governorship and state House of Assembly elections in order to reconfigure the BVAS machines. The move was made possible…
