As part of a coordinated effort to ease the circulation of banknotes of various denominations, the Central Bank of Nigeria has directed all commercial banks to open on Saturdays and Sundays. On Friday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja overturned the tribunal decision that invalidated Ademola Adeleke’s election as governor of Osun State. In a unanimous decision, a three-member panel of justices led by Justice Mohammed Lawal held that Adeleke’s appeal to challenge his dismissal by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal was meritorious. Tragedy hits Kenya again as 21 mourners die in fatal crash

Following a fatal crash, 25 people were killed in Udubo along the Hadeja-Potiskum road in Bauchi State’s Gamawa Local Government Area.
