The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) recommended vaccination for travellers heading to mpox-infected areas due to the disease’s ability to spread through close contact. ECDC stated that it has updated its recommendations in response to outbreaks of a new strain of the virus. Other continents, including Europe, can expect some cases too.
