Nigeria’s oldest airline, Aero Contractors, has suspended commercial operations due to the rising cost of aviation fuel and economic crunch. The state-controlled Nigerian airline has reportedly pruned down its number of aircrafts. In a statement on Monday, the airline said that most of its aircraft are currently undergoing maintenance and this has resulted to its subpar services. Two prisoners at New Jersey’s only women’s prison have become pregnant after having sex with a transgender inmate. The women had engaged in “consensual sexual relationships with another incarcerated person”, the state’s department of corrections told NJ.com. They were being held at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility at Union Township, about 16 miles west of New York City. Some users of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) transport in Lagos on Sunday expressed their views over the N100 increase in transportation fare which took effect on July 13.
