President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday for Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to attend the COP28 Climate Summit, according to a statement from the presidency on Tuesday. Emefiele prays court to foreclose prosecution over procurement fraud

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja has adjourned an alleged procurement fraud case involving ex-CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele. The court rescheduled the ex-CBN chief’s trial for January 18 and 19, 2024, to allow for more proceedings. Emefiele is on trial on a six-count amended allegation of alleged car procurement worth N1.6 billion. He had entered a not guilty plea to the allegations.
