A Rwandan court on Tuesday rejected an appeal by a prominent opposition figure to have his previous convictions removed, disqualifying him from challenging President Paul Kagame in the July elections. The Lagos State Police Command, on Tuesday, arrested popular musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, for refusing to pay the debt he incurred when he purchased G-Wagon from a car dealer in the state. It was gathered that Portable, during the purchase of the vehicle worth N27m, paid only N13m and had refused to pay the N14m balance. Internet personality and brother of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, Isaac Fayose has threatened to demolish his house in Abuja because of some tenants who he said were owing him three years rent. Four suspects allegedly involved in the kidnapping of University of Abuja lecturers and their children in 2021were on Monday arraigned at a Federal High Court Abuja. They were arraigned by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation before Justice Donatus Okorowo on a two-count terrorism charge. Those arraigned are Adamu Abubakar; Nura Muhammed Ahmadu; Ismailia Abubakar and Abdulrahman Ado, also known as Yellow, as 1st to 4th defendants respectively. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has inaugurated special squads to curb open sales and consumption of illicit drugs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Kabiru Tsakuwa, commander of narcotics (CN), NDLEA, FCT command, said this in an interview with journalists on Monday in Abuja.
