Controversial social media blog, Gistlover has threatened to wash the dirty linen of Nigeria’s Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, unless he tenders a public apology for how he disrespects women. The blog has already published the telephone numbers of Akpabio, his wife and two of his mistresses, claiming it has evidence of corruption against Akpabio. A 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck Guatemala on Saturday, the United States Geological Survey said, with the tremor also felt in El Salvador and Nicaragua. No casualties or damage were reported in the three countries. The tremor hit at 8:53 pm (0253 GMT) with its epicenter eight kilometers (five miles) southeast of Jalapa city, at a depth of 265.5 kilometres, according to the USGS. The Lagos State government has announced the launch of its on-street parking scheme, set to begin in October, which will introduce hourly charges for cars parked on designated streets. A notice from the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA), dated July 19 and signed by Head of Operations Ayokunle Akinrimisi, was addressed to the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) branch chairman. The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Initiative’s chief executive officer and programme director, Michael Oluwagbemi, says 30,000 CNG conversion kits have been ordered and will be given to commercial drivers in less than 90 days. Oluwagbemi disclosed this at the Park-to-Park CNG Conversion Mobilisation on Saturday in Lagos. Bandits killed two persons and kidnapped five travelers along the Ifon/Owo Expressway in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State on Friday night. It was gathered that the kidnappers, numbering about 15, armed with AK-47 rifles, accosted the Sienna bus conveying the travellers at about 11 pm at Omi Alafa village in Ifon, Ose LGA, and led the victims into the forest. The police have arrested three suspects involved in housebreaking and the robbery of gold and other valuables in Abuja. ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, announced this during a media briefing in Abuja. The arrests followed an investigation by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT). Further investigation revealed that the prime suspect was a fish trader at the Kado fish market in Abuja.
