The Bauchi State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Katagum Local Government Area of the state. This is contained in a statement issued to journalists by the Secretary to the State Government, Ibrahim Kashim, on Monday. The statement explained, “Due to the deteriorating security situation in Azare and its environments, Katagum Local Government Area, leading to the destruction of public property, stealing, victimisation, etc. His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved the imposition of a 24-hour curfew.” It maintained that the decision was to contain the situation in the area. The cryptocurrency dipped from $60,752 on August 4, to $52,312 on August 5, according to CoinMarketCap, a price-tracking website for crypto assets.
