President Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany will arrive in Nigeria on Tuesday on a state visit for two days. The German Embassy made this disclosure in a statement on Monday. The statement said that President Steinmeier will meet with Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the President of the Commission of Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, Alieu Omar Touray. Bandits in Zamfara State have rejected N3m offered as ransom for the release of 26 abducted persons from Gidan-Goga village, Maradun Local Government Area. An indigene of the village, Abubakar Shehu, whose three daughters are among the abductees, disclosed this on Monday in a phone interview with Punch newspaper. The Nigerian Police Force, Kebbi State Command has rescued 36 victims of kidnappers in the Danko/ Wasagu Local Government Area of the state.
