President Bola Tinubu has ended the state of emergency imposed on the oil-rich Rivers state on March 18, 2025 reinstating Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy governor, Her Excellency Ngozi Nma Odu. Tinubu ordered Fubara to resume work on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The commonly prescribed blood thinner clopidogrel should replace aspirin as a routine pill for preventing heart attacks and strokes in people who already have at least some degree of heart disease, researchers reported at the European Society of Cardiology Congress.
