7.4m plunged into extreme poverty in 2020, says Oxfam Three Nigerian billionaires’ wealth increased to $6.9 billion during the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, which began in March 2020, an Oxfam report said. The report did not however mention the three billionaires but Chronicle NG reports that the three billionaires made their fortune as more Nigerians slipped into poverty. According to the report, the total wealth of the three billionaires in Nigeria now equal $24.9 billion.
