The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday arraigned one Roland Osagbakoe Omo Ogebebor and his company Harchrow Construction Nigeria Limited before Justice S. M. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State on a three count charge of obtaining money by false pretence. The defendant is alleged to have defrauded one Ogweda Mutana of the sum of N31, 000,000.00 over a land deal. The Police Service Commission (PSC) has deferred decision in the case involving suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari. Kyari had earlier been indicted by a report of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States and was also investigated by a special panel set up by the Inspector General of Police. EFCC arrests 42 fraudsters in Asaba, Delta state

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 42 suspected internet fraudsters at various locations in Asaba, Delta State. They were arrested on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in a sting operation. Supreme Court has declared as unlawful and unconstitutional the Executive Order 10 (EO10) issued by President Muhammadu Buhari on the funding of State Judiciary and Legislature.
