The Niger Delta Democratic Union (NDDU), has approached the Federal High Court, Asaba challenging the federal government decision to declare itself sole owner of $4.2million seized from associates of ex-governor James Ibori by the British Government. The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested a former Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde, for allegedly misappropriating N900 million. Ojerinde, who was arrested on 15th March, 2021 in Abuja by operatives of ICPC, is alleged to have committed multiple frauds while heading JAMB and the National Examination Council (NECO). Kaduna State government has confirmed that bandits shot at the official vehicle of Emir of Birnin-Gwari around the Zonkoro axis of the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road, within Chikun local. NNPC signs China deal to revive Port Harcourt, Warri refineries

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sum of $1.5 billion for the rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery, the largest refining company in the country. The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, disclosed this to State House Correspondents after the weekly virtual FEC meeting, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
