The Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Buba Marwa has lamented over the pervasive abuse of marijuana in the country, revealing that about 10.6 million Nigerians are actively abusing the substance. After months of speculations, it appears Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state will formally join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday, June 29. Bandits have abducted the Vice Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr James Bijimi and an unspecified number of travellers along the Kaduna-Kachia road. The incident comes two days after bandits killed a driver and kidnapped 33 other people in the Kachia metropolis.
