At least 24 persons have been killed by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram Terrorists in Dabna a farming community three kilometres away from Graha the hometown of the Secretary to the Federal Government, Boss Mustapha. The Gombe Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on July 5, 2021 secured the conviction of two former staff of Gombe State Ministry of Lands and Survey, Yahaya Umaru Waja and Muhammed Manga, who were sentenced to nine years imprisonment each on four of the five-count charge of conspiracy, forgery and cheating, by Justice Fatima Musa of the Gombe State High Court, Gombe. Says NYSC certificate not required for appointment as Minister A Federal High Court in Abuja has cleared former Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, of the controversy over her participation or otherwise in the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. The Senate on Wednesday padded the supplementary budget for the 2021 fiscal year before approving the sum of N982.729 billion. The approved sum represents an upward review of N86.9 billion from the initial amount of N895.842 billion transmitted to the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari about two weeks ago. The passage of the supplementary Appropriation Bill 2021, followed the consideration of a report by the Committee on Appropriation during plenary.
