The Lagos State Fire Service explained that fire alert which was received at 13:17 hrs, saw the agency mobilize other emergency responders of the State to put up a concerted efforts in combatting the inferno. Senate President Ahmad Lawan says the ruling by the Federal High Court in Abuja, won’t stop the National Assembly from amending the Electoral Act. The court in a ruling delivered on Monday by Justice Inyang Ekwo, on an ex-parte application by the Peoples Democratic Party, barred the President Muhammadu Buhari, the Attorney General of the Federation and the Senate President from tampering with the newly amended Electoral Act 2022. The Senate has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow duly registered and eligible prison-electorates to exercise their franchise during all general elections in Nigeria.
