New York’s mayor says he has told US President-elect Donald Trump that he will work against his plans to deport immigrants stressing that people in the city are “fearful” of what his White House administration could bring. Conjoined twin girls from Nigeria have been separated after a lengthy operation at a Tennessee hospital, days ahead of their first birthday. Miracle and Testimony Ayeni were separated during 18 hours of surgery that began on November 7 and finished November 8 at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, the hospital said. The Federal High Court Kano presided over by Justice Fatu Riman has convicted and sentenced a senior lawyer, Yakubu Mohammed Na-Allah, to four years imprisonment without the option of fine for offences of money laundering. Na-Allah was found guilty of laundering N50million. The convict was arraigned by the EFCC on 14 January, 2013 on a two count charge of money laundering. Bob Dylan will not travel to Sweden to receive his Nobel Prize for Literature in person, it has been announced. Osun State House of Assembly has begun move to facilitate the revitalisation of the abandoned federal government projects of over N20.318 billion in the state.
