Kogi State Government on Friday threatened to terminate the appointment of any of its staff, under its health sector, that participates in the ongoing indefinite strike by doctors in the state. Kehinde Lawal, Acting Head of Service, in a circular on Friday warned that the state government will also adopt the policy of ‘no work no pay’ for any doctor on strike. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has revealed that the owner of the building where $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23, 218,000 was discovered in Ikoyi, Lagos State. The commission has named Mrs. Folashade Oke, the wife of the suspended Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, NIA, Ayo Oke as the owner of Flat 7B, No. 13, Osborne Road, Osborne Towers. North Korea has accused the United States of America, USA, and neighbours, South Korean of a joint plot to kill its President, Kim Jong-un. The Ministry of State Security claimed that a terrorist group backed by the CIA and South Korea’s intelligence agency had entered the country to attack Kim with a bio-chemical substance. The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, yesterday visited his hometown in Isiama Afara, Abia State. Manchester City have been banned from signing academy players for two years and fined £300,000 after breaching Premier League transfer rules. Part of the ban – from 30 June 2018 – will only come into effect if the club reoffends in the next three years. City were found to have approached the family of two young players who were registered with other clubs. The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen yesterday inaugurated a 14-man steering committee to coordinate reforms of the country’s judicial system.
