A twenty-eight-year-old man admitted killing 19 people, including his parents and three children, when he went on trial in southwest China on Wednesday, the court said. After returning to his home village in Yunnan province on September 28 last year, Yang Qingpei murdered his parents when they refused to give him money, the Qujing City Intermediate People’s Court said on its official microblog account. The Federal Government of Nigerian has directed the ministry of education to restore both the Christian Religious Knowledge and the Islamic Religious Knowledge as independent subjects. Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi on Thursday dissolved his cabinet, sacked the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Bello Ilelah and disengaged his Special Assistants. A Military Special Court Martial on Thursday demoted Major-General Ibrahim Sani, one time Chief of Transformation and Innovation Centre of the Nigerian Army, to a Brigadier-General. The President of the court, AVM James Gbum, demoted Major-General Sani after he convicted him on a five-count charge bordering on cheating. The Nigerian National petroleum Corporation (NNPC) said that diesel price nationwide crashed by 42 per cent due to strategic intervention by the Corporation to sustain supply of the product. Six teenagers from Burundi taking part in a robotics competition in the US have been reported missing, police say.
