Kenya’s National Super Alliance, NASA and its presidential candidate, Raila Odinga have slammed the results being declared by the country’s electoral commission as illegal and fraudulent. They made their positions known in separate reactions today. Three men, accused of cyber crime and theft of N9.2million, property of Lagos State House Speaker, have been sent to Ikoyi Prison by a Federal High Court in Lagos, after they were docked today. The men, Frank Nwokobia, 27, Ezeoke Kanayochukwu, 25, and Godwin Essien, 28, were charged by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), of the Lagos State Police Command, Panti-Yaba,of the Nigerian Police Force. A 6.5-magnitude earthquake rattled southwest China late Tuesday, killing at least five people, with up to 100 feared dead, according to a government estimate. Five people died and more than 60 were injured in the quake, the official Xinhua news agency said, including 30 who were in critical condition. But China’s National Commission for Disaster Reduction estimated that as many as 100 people may have perished, based on 2010 census data of the mountainous, sparsely populated region. Northern Governors’ Forum on Tuesday donated N360 million to support humanitarian services to persons displaced by Boko Haram insurgency in Borno state. Gov. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it had recovered over N328.9 billion out of N349.8 billion debts from nine major petroleum marketers within the last one year. Mr Adamu Hamisu-Danmusa, the EFCC Head of Operation, North West Zone, Kano, disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Kano on Tuesday. Fighters of pro-Iraqi government Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) have been bombed by US air force near Syrian border, recording heavy casualty. Sputnik reports that the attack was carried out on Monday night killing 35 Iraqi’s militia unit called Seyid Suheda belonging to PMU. Police in West Texas say a robbery suspect is in custody after he was caught snoozing at the scene. According to Abilene police, Kanyoni Sedekiya, 20, was armed with a gun at his apartment complex early Friday when he argued with his roommate, whom he then bound as he demanded money. Authorities say Sedekiya then fell asleep. The roommate managed to get free around 4 a.m., slip away to a neighbor’s apartment and summon police as Sedekiya was sleeping.
