The National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says the rate of women addiction to drug is on the increase in Kebbi state is on the rise. Workers in Nokia Solutions Networks Limited have commenced a three-day warning strike to protest anti-labour practices by the management of the company. The workers said they embarked on the strike as members of the Private Telecommunications and Communications Senior Staff Association of Nigeria. Russia will not interfere in Zimbabwe’s upcoming elections, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov promised during a visit to the country. Mr Lavrov made the promise as he revealed the two countires had signed deals on agriculture and mining, and were hoping to increase military cooperation and diamond mining in the future. Thousands of fans and representatives of every Serie A club have gathered in Florence for the funeral of Fiorentina captain Davide Astori. The Italy international defender died at the age of 31 on Saturday after a sudden illness. Chairman of the Tribunal, Mr. Danladi Umar, announced the adjournment in a short ruling on the resumption of trial in Abuja today. More than 20 people have died in clashes between herders and farmers in central Nigeria, police said, part of an outbreak of violence that has piled pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari less than a year before elections.
