Lightning has struck a Seventh Day Adventist Church in Rwanda, killing no fewer than 16 people and injuring dozens more, a local official said Sunday. Fourteen victims were killed on the spot as lightning hit the church in the Nyaruguru district in the Southern Province on Saturday, local mayor Habitegeko Francois told AFP over the phone. Few days after the death of former Nasarawa state governor, Mr. Aliyu Akwe-Doma, the first civilian governor of Adamawa, Alhaji Saleh Michika, has been reported dead. Michika died on Saturday night at the Yola Federal Medical Centre where he was receiving treatment. The National Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone has started releasing the results of the March 7 general election with All Peoples Congress (APC), and Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) leading other parties.
