The Nigerian Army has arrested 23 suspected cultists, who were conducting physical training for new recruits and initiation and involved in robbery and kidnapping. Canada’s government has said more Nigerians with valid US visas are crossing into the country illegally with most of them heading for the province of Quebec. Canada says these asylum-seekers are using the United States as a transit point. MTN has appointed Nigerian investment firm Chapel Hill Denham as lead manager for its initial public offering on Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, later this year, two sources told Reuters on Friday. The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has struck out a suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), freezing the sum of $5.3 billion. The money is domiciled in a bank account and linked to the wife of the former President, Mrs Patience Jonathan and six others.
