A nude gunman has killed four people at a Waffle House in Nashville in the US state of Tennessee, police say. The man who has been identified as Travis Reinking, 29, burst into the restaurant at 03:25 (08:25 GMT) in the suburb of Antioch, and reportedly opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle. No fewer than four persons were killed and eight others wounded in a suicide bomb attack on Sunday at a mosque in Bama Local Government Area of Borno. The attack came barely four weeks after thousands of displaced persons were resettled in the community. The Chairman of the Council, Mr Baba-Shehu Gulumba, confirmed the incident to NAN that four persons were killed in the early morning attack. The Federal Government has committed to secure US$300 million from the World Bank, Islamic Development Bank and African Development Bank to eliminate malaria in the country. This is contained in a statement issued by the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) on the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2018 just ended in London. The government said in the statement that it would elevate malaria on the national priority list and finance its national malaria elimination strategy.
