The police in the early hours of Monday sealed the complex of Kano state House of Assembly apparently to prevent the impeachment of the speaker. Reports say that the armed policemen were deployed to the House at about 2 am to prevent members from gaining access into the Assembly Complex. Scottish giant Rangers have announced the signing of Scott Arfield from Burnley on a four year deal making him the first signing for new manager Steven Gerrard. Bismarck Rewane, chief executive of Lagos-based consultancy Financial Derivatives, has said that familiarity and age could be a disadvantage to Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambitions. US President Donald Trump has said he will help save ZTE, one of China’s biggest telecoms companies and has instructed the Commerce Department to “get it done”. The firm has suspended operations after the commerce department last month banned US companies from selling it components for seven years.
