Justice Ahmed Mohamed of the Federal High Court in Abuja has discharged and acquitted a former Group Managing Director of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Andrew Yakubu, on charges of money laundering. Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested eighty (80) suspects for alleged internet- related activities in Ibadan, Oyo State. Forty (40) other suspects were arrested by operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Commission for the same suspected offences. The Kwara Police Command have neutralised three suspected kidnappers with the help of Kwara vigilantes group and local hunters. The incident happened at Obbo Ile/Osi forest in Ekiti Local Government Area of the state, the police said.
