MC Oluomo elected NURTW national president

The Lagos State Government has appointed Alh Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo as the chairman of the Lagos Parks Management Committee. MC Oluomo was sacked as the Lagos chairman of the NURTW by the NUTRM national body barely 12 hours before his appointment. The state government said it set up the committee to oversee the affairs of all motor parks and garages in the state. Two persons in the entourage of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan died on Wednesday in Abuja after a convoy accident. The ex-President and his wife, Patience, have been to the emergency unit of the National Hospital, Abuja where all victims were evacuated to. President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate re-deployment of Mohammed Abdullahi as the new Minister of Environment, with effect from April 6, 2022. Justice Donatus Okorowo ruled in favour of women in the 35% Affirmative Action suit

A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, delivered judgment in favour of some women groups asking the Federal Government to implement the 35 per cent affirmative action. Justice Donatus Okorowo, in a judgment, granted all the reliefs sought by the plaintiffs. Justice Okorowo said he agreed with the plaintiffs that the Federal Government’s subscription to Article 19 of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights implied that the defendants were bound by its provisions.
