A lorry driver who is accused over the deaths of 39 migrants in Essex has admitted plotting to assist illegal immigration. Maurice Robinson pleaded guilty at the Old Bailey to conspiring with others to assist illegal immigration between 1 May 2018 and 24 October 2019. Uber will not be granted a new licence to operate in London after repeated safety failures, Transport for London has said. The regulator said the taxi app was not “fit and proper” as a licence holder, despite having made a number of positive changes to its operations. A mother in Australia has been charged with murder after her two children were found dead in a hot car. The two children, aged one and two, were found unresponsive by officers in Queensland on Saturday. It is unclear how long they had been inside the car. Mr David Ringshum, the Comptroller, Imo Command of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has advised irregular migrants to register during the oncoming Migrant e-Registration scheduled to start in the state on November 26.
