    Atiku mourns as Helew Owie, wife of ex-Senate chief whip dies at 71

    Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has mourned Lady Helen Owie, wife of a former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Rowland Owie.

    Former Nigerian Vice President Atiku Abubakar has mourned Lady Helen Owie, wife of a former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Rowland Owie.

    Chronicle NG reports that Helen Owie died on Wednesday in Abuja at the age of 71.

    In a statement via his X handle on Thursday, Atiku asserted that the deceased was peaceful, loving, humble, and kind to a fault.

    He added, “The late Lady Helen Owie lived an exemplary life that impacted her family, her community, and all who encountered her in her eventful life.

    “She was a devout Christian who made the love of others a central theme of her life.

    “My thoughts and prayers are with the Owie family and friends at this time of grief.”

    Atiku prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased’s soul and comfort and strength for the family to bear the irreversible loss.
