An old social media prediction by Indian astrologer Astro Sharmistha has resurfaced online, shocking internet users in the wake of a devastating Air India plane crash. Last year, she warned, “In 2025, plane crash headlines may give us shock.”

Just days before the tragedy, she doubled down on her forecast, writing, “I am still holding high the prediction of [a] plane crash and destruction in aviation in 2025.”

Now, with the deadly Air India disaster on 12 June 2025, many are calling her prophecy “eerily accurate.” Her posts have gone viral, reigniting global interest in astrology and its role in predicting major events.

The Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner, bound for London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, India. The aircraft, carrying 242 people, erupted in a fiery explosion that sent thick black smoke billowing into the sky. Onboard were 159 Indian nationals, 53 Britons, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian. Among the passengers were eleven children, including two newborns.

Miraculously, one survivor has been confirmed: British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was seated in 11A.

Rescue teams, supported by military personnel, have so far recovered 204 bodies, with casualties including passengers and individuals on the ground. The search continues as authorities work tirelessly through the wreckage.

With Astro Sharmistha’s chilling prediction now drawing global media attention, debates are reigniting around the credibility and influence of astrology in modern times — especially when it appears to echo reality with such uncanny timing.
