Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has reappointed four of the commissioners who were removed from the State Executive Council (SEC).

The four candidates were among those designated as commissioner nominees and referred to the House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The nominees are Omowumi Isaac, Olukayode A. Ajulo, Razaq Obe, Emmanuel Igbassan, Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi.

However, those returning to the cabinet are Obe, Igbasan, Sowore, and Falana.

Aiyedatiwa also appointed three special advisers to the cabinet.

The governor also named three special advisers to the Cabinet.

They are Olugbenga Omole, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy; Olamide Falana, Special Adviser on Gender Affairs; and Alabi Johnson, Special Adviser on Energy.

However, the names of the appointees were revealed in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Friday in Akure, the state capital.

The nominees were announced less than 24 hours after Aiyedatiwa hinted at his intention to reinstate some fired State Executive Council (SEC) members in government.

While overseeing the swearing-in of Ondo State deputy governor Dr. Olayide Adelami on Thursday, the governor announced that some of the ousted cabinet members would return.

“Some of you are coming back soon. Some people have served. Some are waiting, some are still serving, and some of you are coming back,” he added.
