The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially released what it calls updated lists of its Convention Committee and subcommittees ahead of its forthcoming national convention.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the update is aimed at strengthening coordination and ensuring a smooth and credible convention.
In the official list, former Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, will chair the convention, while former Sokoto State Governor, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, will serve as vice chairman. Dr Ajuji Ahmed will serve as secretary.
The official announcement confirms the composition of the National Convention Central Coordination Committee of the party, slated for Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
Other members of the 22-member planning committee include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Mr Peter Obi; former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; former Rivers State Governor, Honourable Rotimi Amaechi; former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai; as well as former Imo State Governor, Achike Udenwa.
Also on the list are former Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and former Imo State Governor, Honourable Emeka Ihedioha, among others.
In slight changes, former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, heads the Media and Publicity Committee. Lauretta Onochie will head the subcommittee on New Media, while Honourable Chille Wanger Igbawua will serve as vice chairman of the Committee on Electoral Affairs.
The ADC urged all committee members to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and called on stakeholders to support the process.
