    Keyamo condoles with Sowore over brother’s death

    Festus Keyamo, SAN, has commiserated with human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, over the death of his brother, Sowore Felix Olajide.

    Olajide, a Pharmacy student of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo state, was murdered by yet-to-be identified assailants on Saturday morning on his way from the school.

    Keyamo assured the Sahara Reporters publisher that he would make sure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

    He urged him to take heart and remain committed to helping the nation find a lasting solution to insecurity in Nigeria.

    Keyamo’s condolence was contained in a statement released on Saturday, titled; “Commiseration on the reported killing of your brother.”

    • Edo police confirm Sowore’s brother’s death, five others abducted

    It read: “I read with deep sadness the reports on the senseless killing of your younger brother, Mr. Jide Sowore, a student of pharmacy at Igbinedion University, Okada, in Edo State, this morning. It is quite sad and regrettable that such a young man would be cut down in his prime by criminal elements.

    “Myself and other compatriots would be pressurising the law-enforcement agents to track down these killers without delay and bring them to justice. This, and many others around the country, must be checkmated with all arsenals at our disposal.

    “I urge you to take heart and remain committed to helping the nation find a lasting solution to some of these numerous challenges.

    It can be recalled that Chronicle NG reported that the Edo police command confirmed the incident, while adding that five other persons were abducted during the attack.

    It is still unclear if the operation was an assasination or a random attack by bandits in the state, which has become one too many.
