The trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the Federal High Court, Abuja, has been adjourned to October 21.
His trial was scheduled to start Monday but has been shrouded with drama and controversy with the absence of Kanu at the court the latest episode of this soap opera.
With only 10 media outfits allowed to cover the trial and the arrest of SaharaReporters founder, Omoyele Sowore, the drama of Kanu has no end in sight.
The accredited media outfits are Daily Post, ThisDay, Premium Times, The Nation, Daily Independent, The Herald, National Television Authority, Television Continental, African Independent Television and Channels Television.
The Nigerian government is trying Kanu on 11 charges which include terrorism and treason.
At the resumption of his trial, tight security enveloped the court premises.
Kanu, was earlier extradited into Nigeria from Kenya after fleeing the country over two years ago.
