The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 118 confirmed new coronavirus cases in the country on Monday.
The 118 cases announced by the Centre for Disease Control takes the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 61,558.
The NCDC also announced the discharge of 86 patients from isolation centers across the country with no new death reported.
Lagos state, the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria reported 51 new confirmed cases taking the total number of confirmed cases in Lagos alone to 20,696.
Rivers state recorded 26 new cases, Imo state reported 12 new cases while Osun state announced 8 new cases.
Other states are Plateau-6, Federal Capital Territory-5, Kaduna-4, Ogun-3, Edo-2 and Niger-1.
NCDC reports that there are 61,440 cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria with 56,611 discharged and 1,125 deaths.
